I’m sure lately you’ve been hearing A LOT about collagen. Well, I’m here to help explain how amazing it really is!

Do you want to improve your digestion, strengthen hair & nails, reverse the signs of aging, and reduce cellulite and/or stretch marks? YES. YES. YES.

Well first, let me tell you a little bit about my fave collagen powder I’ve been using. Vital Proteins Grass-Fed Collagen has just ONE ingredient- COLLAGEN. This is something you really need to look for because there can be unnecessary added filler in some products. If I’m going to pay $40 for a product, it better be worth it! So if you’re buying collagen, check ingredients.

You can throw a scoop of this in your smoothie (11 grams of protein per scoop WOW), hot coffee/tea, or even a cold drink. There are SO many options to use it throughout the day and so many opportunities to benefit from this.

Now, let’s get into the benefits.

  • Reverses signs of aging: collagen increases the elasticity of the skin, while also increasing moisture. This helps get rid of those lines and wrinkles that we have as we age. Collagen helps your skin look firmer, increase smoothness, and also helps skin cells keep renewing and repairing.
  • Helps reduce cellulite & prevent stretch marks: As skin loses its elasticity because of decreased collagen, the skin becomes thinner & cellulite becomes more visible. Increasing your elasticity through collagen can help reduce those pesky little dimples.
  • Helps with hair & nail growth: collagen protein is essential for hair and nail growth. It is the building block/important ingredient of fingernails and hair. This is a very popular benefit of many collagen users. DON’T just think biotin for hair & nail growth… Think collagen!
  • Boosts metabolism: a boost in collagen can help with adding lean muscle mass to your frame and helps with the conversion of essential nutrients. Collagen helps form muscle tissue by converting glucose into energy that feeds muscle cells. Studies show it also reduces appetite!
  • Improves digestion: collagen helps coat the digestive tract, which makes digestion so much easier! When improving digestion, usually there is an improvement in issues like acne, and even eczema.

So to all you ladies out there- there you go : ) SO many great reasons to add in collagen to your diet.

If you’re a collagen fan as well, let me know and tell me about the benefits you’ve noticed!

I just searched for this yesterday and then seen you on Facebook group. Sounds like something I need. I’ve been getting treatments with light at my dermatologist. It’s called gentle waves. $15 a treatment and it also is supposed to help with collagen but she recommended it originally for diminishing pores. 2 treatments a week for six weeks and then ally twice a month to maintain. I saw a difference, not quite as much as I wanted😏

I’ve seen this collagen powder around recently, but can’t seem to track it down in my country. So sad as I so want to try it! Would be great in smoothies/milkshakes!

I’ve definitely been hearing more and more about collagen. I’ve yet to dive in (I’m a little worried because my stomach is SUPER sensitive and I’m always scared to add something new to the routine), but I hope to try collagen sometime!

Omg I totally understand that. If I take too many vitamins, I’m a wreck the rest of the day!
